As a general practice in FCPPL , for a staff exchange, the country of origin pays for the trip cost while the host country takes the stay costs in charge. Travel to China +visa typically cost 1000 (9000 yuans to France). Daily expenses in China (France) roughly amount to 500 yuans (90). The advised allowance is 2000/month for a staffs stay in France, 1400/month for a student (all included). In the latter case, requests should not exceed 6 months, as it is then possible to get funding from other sources (CSC in particular).

Both in the proposal and report forms, sources of funding other than FCPPL should be quoted if they directly benefit to this specific collaboration project. FCPPL.!PhD grants (in the case of a student in co-tutorship working on this research project), or equipment (again if directly linked to this specific research project) for example fall into this category. The funding source (China Scholarship Council, PICS, laboratory, ) as well as its status (submitted/ approved) and amount should be quoted.

Applications are evaluated by French and Chinese reviewers and discussed with the Steering Committee for arbitration. A summary of the observations and recommendations of the reviewers can be sent to the project leaders upon request.
