| < < | The SuperKEKB e+e- circular collider is a Super B-factory designed to reach the highest ever achieved instantaneous luminosity of 8×10e35 /cm2/s. SuperKEKB intense beams are expected to produce a very high level of background particles, increasing the detector occupancy and the radiation level, with major impact on the 2 innermost layers of the vertex detector. The present project is about characterising the SuperKEKB induced background within the Belle II inner tracker volume, using PLUME double-sided ladders equipped with CMOS pixel sensors.
