Concerning the thesis, there are two parts. The first part is on the analyses of the HERA-II data in order to measure the neutral and charged cross sections at high Q2. The second part is on the interpretation of the cross section data in terms of a precise determination of the strong coupling constant and the final word on the parton distribution functions and electroweak parameters such as the light quark couplings to the Z boson and the mass of the W boson. It is expected that these results will go in to a summary report to be published in Physics Report.
