Nu_04 : WA105 and its related R&D on innovation double phase charge readout system and light readout system at liquid Argon temperature
Summary:
A mandatory milestone in view of any future long baseline experiment is an industrial prototyping of the assumed detector and its experimental characterization. WA105 is aiming concrete prototyping effort of double-phase liquid argon TPC towards the envisioned large-scale detectors world wide, and an accompanying campaign of measurements aimed at assessing the systematic errors that will be affecting their intended physics programs based on various detector technologies.

Nu_05 : Precision neutrino cross-section measurements and modeling for long-baseline oscillation experiments
Summary:
The knowledge of the neutrino interaction cross-section is one of the largest and most complicated systematics for present and future long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiments. As an example, Hyper-Kamiokande requires systematic uncertainty of ~3% and DUNE aims at an impressive total systematic uncertainty of 1%, while the uncertainties due to neutrino cross-section in T2K are today larger than 5%. The aim of this project is to exploit the data from the T2K near detectors (ND280, INGRID) to improve the precision on neutrino interaction modeling and to design and build new improved near detectors for T2K-2 to address this issue. A dedicated water scintillator detector (WAGASCI) has been constructed, commissioned and ran during this project and an updated set of detectors for ND280 is being designed.
