French and Japanese research activities within these themes are strongly reinforced by pursuing them jointly in the context of TYL-FJPPL. In particular, the framework which is provided is a tool for encouraging and facilitating valuable exchanges of personnel, as well as joint training initiatives for junior staff and students.
